Frequently Asked Questions
About #1 Winning Bet
Is #1 Winning Bet a gambling site?
No. We are a sports analytics platform. The "bet" in our name is a bet on our algorithm's accuracy — we sell access to data-driven projections, not wagers. We do not offer, facilitate, or advise gambling. All projections are for informational purposes only.
Are your picks guaranteed to win?
No. Our projections use historical data and current-season inputs in backtested models, but sports outcomes are uncertain. We never guarantee profits or specific results. Please see our Responsible Gaming page.
Are you affiliated with any gambling entity?
No.
What sports do you cover?
Official automated picks are live for the NFL, NBA, college basketball, and college football. Every number is math from our scientific sports-data algorithm, not a guess. College football publishes an over only when the model qualifies one. Every college football game still shows the model’s projected total.
Are the picks only for bettors?
No. ROI is how we measure model quality — the data itself is for fans, researchers, students, or anyone who wants analytically grounded sports projections.
Why do I have to pay for picks?
Every registered user gets a free weekly pick. Beyond that, running the site, data feeds, and ongoing model work cost money. Packages fund that work.
Account, picks & payments
What is a Pick?
Picks are the currency on #1 Winning Bet. Unlock one market for 1 Pick. Unlock All spends one Pick per market on that card.
How do free picks work?
Registered users receive one free Pick each calendar week (resets Monday, UTC). Unused free Picks do not roll over into the next week. Purchased Picks stay in your balance until you use them. Running the Sports Calculator and the other research tools requires a free account. Opening those pages does not.
What payment methods do you accept?
Debit/credit cards (Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay where available) and PayPal. We never store your card or bank details — payments run on the provider's servers.
The PayPal button is missing on Checkout
Hard-refresh the Checkout page (Ctrl+F5 on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). That clears a stuck or cached load of PayPal’s button script. If it is still blank, try a private/incognito window or turn off ad blockers for 1winningbet.com — some extensions block the PayPal checkout script. Card checkout with Stripe is always available on the same page.
Why does my PayPal payment show "JS Solutions"?
Your PayPal or bank history may show JS Solutions or PAYPAL *JS SOLUTIONS. That is the billing name on the PayPal merchant account that processes purchases for #1 Winning Bet (1winningbet.com). JS Solutions is the owner and operator of this site. A successful charge still credits picks to your #1 Winning Bet account.
How does refer a friend work?
Your Dashboard has a QR code and a link. A friend who creates a new account from that link and completes a purchase gets 10% off their next purchase. You get 10% off your next purchase too. The discount appears on the cart and checkout and is taken off the amount you pay. It does not combine with the first-purchase discount on the same order. Each credit is 10% off one later order. If several friends buy, you get 10% off one order for each friend.
Can I get a refund?
Pick purchases are final. Refunds are only issued for system errors or duplicate charges. If you paid and picks were not credited, we correct the account (credit) rather than refunding the payment when possible. Purchased picks do not expire. Free picks reset each Monday (UTC) and do not roll over. To request a review, open your Dashboard, find the order, and use Request a return. Approved system-failure returns remove the picks from that order and revoke unlocks from that order; you may see an account notice for 7 days. You will get an email when the account return is complete. Card or bank refunds through Stripe can take up to 2 business weeks to appear on your statement.
What happens if a game is postponed or canceled?
Picks buy informational access to the projection, not a result tied to kickoff. We do not refund picks for postponed, canceled, or rescheduled games.
How do I reset my password?
Use Forgot password on the login page. The reset link is single-use and expires in one hour. If you do not see the email within a few minutes, check Spam or Junk and follow the tip in Email from #1 Winning Bet below.
What is my Dashboard for?
After you log in, your Dashboard is your account home. It shows:
- Account ID — your public ID (used for watermarking unlocked picks)
- Pick balance — how many unlocks you have left, plus a link to buy more
- Email notifications — opt in or out of mail when new picks become available
- Purchase history — packages you bought and picks added
- Pick usage — which sports, games, and markets you unlocked
- Order history — checkout orders and status, plus Request a return on paid orders
- Refer a friend — a QR code to share. After a friend signs up from it and buys, you each get 10% off your next purchase
If you still hold a legacy All-Access sport, that also appears on the dashboard. Live projections and unlocks happen on the sport picks pages, not on the dashboard itself.
What is an All-Access pass?
All-Access passes are retired and no longer sold. Accounts that still hold an active pass keep it until it expires; new purchases use Pick packages only.
How do I get help or delete my account?
Contact us for account help, closure, or data deletion under our Privacy Policy. You can also email support@1winningbet.com.
What if a page says something went wrong?
The page failed on our side. Try it again. If it keeps failing, email support@1winningbet.com and include the time you saw it.
Email from #1 Winning Bet
Check Spam or Junk for mail from @1winningbet.com
Please do this once after you register or if an expected message is missing: open your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folder and look for any message from an address ending in @1winningbet.com (for example support@1winningbet.com or our automatic senders). If you find one:
- Mark it as Not spam / Not junk (wording varies by provider)
- Move it to your Inbox if it is still in Spam
- Optionally add the address or the 1winningbet.com domain to your contacts or allow list
Providers sometimes filter first messages from a new domain. Doing this helps welcome mail, password resets, purchase confirmations, and new-pick notices land in your inbox.
What emails will I get?
- Welcome — after you create an account
- Password reset — when you use Forgot password
- Purchase confirmation — after a successful package purchase
- New picks — only if you opt in on your Dashboard
Automatic messages may say they come from an unmonitored mailbox and ask you not to reply. For human help, use the Contact form or email support@1winningbet.com / sales@1winningbet.com.
Using pick cards
What is the difference between "Unlock 1 Market" and "Unlock All"?
One market reveals a single projection on a card (for example spread or total). Unlock All reveals every market on that card. Cost is 1 Pick per market: 2 for a college football card, 3 for an NFL, NBA, or college basketball card.
Why can't I unlock a specific game?
You need enough Picks in your balance: 1 for one market, or one per market for Unlock All. Buy more on the Packages page if you are short.
What are the Sample Picks on the home page?
Format examples for visitors who are not logged in. After you sign in, Sample Picks are hidden on the home page, and the off-season example cards are hidden on NBA Picks and college basketball Picks. Use the sport picks pages for live projections once that season is underway.
Why don't I see every game or every market as a play?
We list available matchups for the sports we cover. Many cards still show No play on Spread Pick or Total Pick when the model’s edge does not clear our publish thresholds. We would rather show No play than dress up a weak edge as a recommendation. Final (archive) cards are free to review after the game.
Can I share my picks with friends?
No. Picks are for your personal use only. Cards are watermarked with your account ID. Sharing or redistributing them violates our Terms and can result in account termination without refund.
Do you offer live or in-game projections?
No. All projections are pre-game, based on data available before kickoff.
What is the difference between the calculator and picks?
The Advanced Research Calculator shows the broad input set for analyzing a matchup. Official Automated Picks are the final model output using live inputs only, with no manual overrides.
Reading confidence, updates & results
What does the confidence label on a pick mean?
Each revealed market carries a status based on how far the model’s edge cleared our thresholds:
- High Confidence Play — edge cleared our strongest publish band
- Low Confidence Play — a smaller lean was detected (context, not a full signal)
- No Play — no qualifying edge on that market
- Projection only — always on Projected Result (model summary). High / Low Confidence never appears on that line
These are transparency labels, not win guarantees.
What does Projection only mean on Projected Result?
Projected Result is the model’s picture of the game (side, margin, and total). It is always labeled Projection only — not High or Low Confidence. Confidence pills belong only on published Spread Pick and Total Pick rows (edge thresholds). After the game, the Results strip can still mark the projection halves right or wrong.
Why do some pick cards say Updated?
Projections can refresh as practice reports, availability, and market lines change. If a card you unlocked changes, we show a flashing Updated badge and may prompt you after login. After the official freeze window (NFL: after the last mandatory practice report at 4 p.m. ET; college basketball windows follow our freeze rules), that game’s graded snapshot is locked for our records.
What do the checkmarks on Final cards mean?
After a game is Final and settled, a Results strip shows what was graded:
- Projected Result — Spread — whether the team we named won. The ? on that row explains it. The number is the projection we showed.
- Projected Result — Total — whether our projected total landed within 7 points of the final combined score (8 points in basketball). The ? on that row states the rule for that sport.
- Spread Pick / Total Pick — graded only when that same pick is on the card. No play is always no grade.
Example: a projected total of 41.6 and a final combined score of 44 can show Right on Projected Result — Total because 44 is within 7 points of 41.6. That is the projection, not a published total bet. A Spread Pick or Total Pick row never shows Right or Wrong unless that pick is still the one on the card. Green check = right, red X = wrong, dash = no grade. Soft tracker only — not a payout or performance guarantee.
Why can Projected Result say Right when the pick says No play?
No play means we did not publish a spread or total recommendation. The projection is still the algorithm’s picture of the game, so those two result rows can be right or wrong. Use the ? on the row. A Spread Pick or Total Pick that says No play does not get a right or wrong result.
Models & methodology
How are the projections made?
Everything we provide is math from our scientific sports-data algorithm, not a guess. Each sport has its own tested formula, built on historical team and efficiency stats. Every card shows the current model stage. Outputs are informational, not betting advice or guaranteed outcomes.
What is a model stage?
The stage tells you how much current-season data the projection is using. Early season blends prior-year and early current-season data; as games complete, stats fold in automatically. Labels like Off-Season Baseline or Early Season mean the sample is still thin — judge the card accordingly.
When do projections switch to current-season numbers?
Automatically as the regular season progresses. You do not need to do anything; numbers refresh on our side.
Why are you confident in the picks you offer?
We evaluate success the way a sportsbook does: return on investment over volume, not picking winners game-to-game. Models that do not clear our internal validation bar stay in testing. A confidence label belongs on a published pick. A projected result next to No play is still the algorithm’s math.
Why does College Football show a projection when the total says No play?
College football runs on the same scientific sports-data algorithm. Every game has a projected total, and that number is the model’s math for the game. We publish a Total Pick only when the model qualifies an over. Otherwise the total reads No play. We do not publish a college football spread or under. No play means that over did not qualify. It does not mean the projection was left blank.
How do you measure success?
ROI across published pick types over a full season. One good week means nothing; a sustained positive return across hundreds of projections is the standard we hold ourselves to.
Why is +5% ROI considered good?
Turnover. Capital in sports recycles constantly across a season, so a small sustained percentage on high volume compounds differently than a yearly stock return. That is why roughly +3–5% sustained ROI is widely treated as a strong bar for a data model, while many casual approaches sit negative over time.
How much testing goes into the models?
Large configuration searches across multiple seasons of historical data — variables, thresholds, and market conditions — before anything is published.
Do you backtest? What are historical results?
Yes. Backtesting against prior seasons is how candidate formulas earn the right to see live data. We do not publish detailed backtest tables — past performance does not guarantee future results. We use multiple recent seasons rather than decades of history, because rosters, schemes, and the sport itself change.
Does the formula evolve?
Yes. Testing and refinement continue year-round, including during the live season.
What variables does the model use?
Registered users can explore inputs in the Sports Calculator. We show the ingredients; exact weights and interactions stay proprietary.
What sets you apart from an average model?
The acceptance bar. Sustained positive ROI in validation is our minimum for publishable models. We focus on markets we can validate rigorously rather than flooding every prop type.
Where do you get your data?
Licensed data feeds and verified public sources. Accurate inputs are part of what packages fund.
Why don't you offer more pick types?
There are many possible markets per game. We focus on the ones we can validate rigorously rather than spreading thin.
If ROI measures success, why is pricing accessible?
The data should work for people in all walks of life — whether you use it for analysis, research, or conversation.
What can customers expect from #1 Winning Bet?
An honest partner in sports data analysis — one that tells you when confidence is low, shows you the stage of every projection, and holds its models to a standard most never meet.
